Kiss and Run with the zipper undone!

Okay...I'm not a good story teller but I'll try to get it right. James invited my roommate and I to hear him give his "homecoming" talk in his old ward in IF. Of course we went and I was nervous as heck because his mom and sisters were there and I really didn't want to meet them...I wasn't quite ready for that yet. I did get to meet Amy and thought she was sooo cute. She came to my apartment with James and I and didn't like the peanut butter I had. Anyways...James asked my roommate if she could drive them to Uncle Fred's house in IF since he was leaving with his family to go to Cali for their family reunion. Amy sat in the front so James and I could snuggle up in the back. We were still at a early stage in our relationship here...still no kissing. So, I noticed early on that his zipper was down but I was too embarrassed to say anything. When we got to Uncle Fred's house Amy ran in and James lingered at the car a little to say goodbye. I was now seated in the front seat and James was talking to me and trying to say goodbye. I should have recognized that the kiss was coming by how uncomfortable he was getting but I didn't pay any attention. So, he leaned over, kissed me a tiny little peck (I hardly even felt it) and ran inside. I laughed and my roommate thought it was so cute. Later he informed me that he went in the house a little embarrassed and unsure of himself. His mom called him over and whispered in his ear that his zipper was down. Poor guy. He was super embarrassed that his mom had noticed and then when I told him that I had also known it didn't help. So, I always teased him about the kiss and run...and the kids added the zipper undone because they thought it was hilarious!!! So, there you have it.

Cute story. I love remembering the early days and the first kiss and everything. Poor James. That would have been humiliating!!! Good thing he didn't let that stop him though!

It's a darn good thing and we love to laugh about it now because that was just the beginning of a lot of fun times for us.

I love that story. That's hilarious that the kids added the "zipper undone" part. It's a catchy title!
